Early Life:

She served as deputy district attorney in 1990, later on, California Medical Assistance Commission. She then took six months to leave from her duties and rejoined as a prosecutor in 1994. Kamala became Chief of the Career Criminal Division in 1998 San Francisco District attorney there; she was an assistant district attorney. Now she was supervising five other attornies. Due to some clashes in 2000, Kamala left the job.
Later she took another job in Francisco City Hall, and she started working under city attorney Louise Renne.
She was not the only one preparing; she was against Hallinan and Bill Fazio, but she won with 56 percent of the votes. As a result, she became the first lady of color to be a district attorney of San Francisco.

In 2014 re-elections were held but Kamala eon again and was re-elected as Attorney General. She won Senate elections in 2017 and became a senator, and she remained senator from 2017 to 2021.
